Re: Re: Self-Growth and Society: Does One Person Make a Difference?

Of course, you are right.
I was concentrating this time on the feeling so many people have that they can't make a difference, that they don't really matter in a world so large and busy that they fear their voice can't be heard.
But you raise the equally important point that each of us matters because we are interconnected and that means that as we influence others, they are also influencing us.
In fact, I happen to have an old article posted on just that topic ;-) -- it's called Can Other People Have an Effect on Your Brain?.
I also think that this is where Heart Intelligence and learning to listen to your heart can be helpful as well. Sometimes our head-brain tells us a problem is about us and that we need to solve it, but our heart-brain, from a different place, can let us see that perhaps we just need to remove ourselves from the situation or find a different, more positive, way to respond to it.
If we can find ways to "buffer" the negativity and help create a shift toward a more positive way of being for others too -- how wonderful would that be? ;-)
Thanks for talking more about this with me (and Us)...
Karen
