Re: Self-Growth and Society: Does One Person Make a Difference?

Synchrony is ubiquitous in nature. Look at how fish swim in schools, for example. They often seem to operate as one cohesive unit as they swim together. I believe there is something going on there that we simply do not yet comprehend.
I believe the same goes for human minds. I notice that the closer I am to any one person the more "mind reading" kind of experiences I have with them. (Knowing exactly what they're going to say before they say it). Attribute it to pattern recognition in speech, or whatever, but the fact is I find my emotions and very state of mind entangled with that of those I surround myself with.
Along with the idea that we can have an impact on our environment it's important to realize... Our environment can impact US, and damage our minds and literally our souls. It's important to identify damaging individuals in our lives... and liberate ourselves from them so we can grow. We must find people who are truly growth oriented, and surround ourselves with them nearly exclusively in order to reach our full potential.
