Corina: Thanks for commenting and I hope your blog is back up soon -- No, perhaps not, but then no metaphor works for everyone, I suppose. What is special about this one is that the way the brain works includes electrical activity. And electricity and water work the same way. So this is a metaphor that is very close to the real thing -- whether water speaks to you or not ;-) I do try to have other metaphors and explanations for people and I will try to share more of these on the blog.
