I had to share this!

I saw it on another blog -- This Old Brain -- and knew it was my responsibility to share with you some excellent strategies for Turning Your Brain into Mush.

Of course, I usually try to share strategies for the Proper Care and Feeding of your brain.

But I recognize that there may be some people out there who are determined to drive their brains into...well...mush.

None of MY readers, of course, but perhaps people you know. People you can see everyday working hard to do the most damage to their brains that they possibly can.

Well, now you can help them! Just share this link with them and they're good to go!

On the other hand, if they decide that's not working out so well for them...you know where to send them for that too

On a more serious note(sorry, I couldn't help myself), please recognize that brain-mushing activities are simply the reverse of brain-enhancing activities. Not to state the obvious, but that means that anything you do that gets in the way of your brain's natural plasticity abilities -- its propensity to change and grow and keep on changing -- is mush-producing.

Brain Mush is associated with:
- letting brain cells and their connections weaken from disuse
- strengthening the few connections you've got left by doing the same things over and over and over and ...
- failing to provide the stimulation necessary to create new connections and strengthen those new connections by not taking on new learning activities

So. It's up to you (and those friends of yours) -- which direction do you want to take your brain?
